Neon Pop!

Wearing

Shift Dress: Lulu's | Sandals: Coach | Belt: The Limited | Earrings: The Limited | Oversized Link Bracelet: J. Crew | Midi Rings: h&m | Purse: Steve Madden

Happy Monday Friends!

First, I would like to apologize for my absence from the scene. Things have been pretty hectic adapting to a new job with a new routine. But overall, I must say this was a good move for me. Being in a new environment was daunting and scary at first -- but I'm quickly becoming the city girl I always knew myself to be.

Let's talk fashion:

I love the shift dress. This one in particular is from Lulu's and I've loved it from the moment it arrived on my doorstep. This look is perfect for a casual Sunday Brunch with friends or family. As always, I'm obsessed with the blue and brown color combo! But I decided to add that extra little pop with the neon belt. This look can also be adapted for a day to night purpose by throwing on a pair of point toe pumps!

Hues of Blue

Wearing

Cotton Tee: J. Crew | Printed Trousers: H&M | Purse: Vince Camuto | Sandals: Forever 21 | Assorted Midi Rings: H&M | Sunnies: Gap Inc. | Floral Cuff: {vintage} Forever 21

Happy first of the month everyone!
(August also happens to be my birthday month!)

So, I've been really digging the brown and blue color combo as of lately. I put this number together for a day of errands with my sisters. It's easy, it's comfortable, it's chic. I love the look of the printed trousers with a chic comfortable tee; plus you can never go wrong with sandals!

I paired this look for an easy (hot) summer day. However, the look is adaptable and can eve be converted to a night look by incorporating a white crop top and some cute heels! Throw in a clutch and you're ready for a night out!

So it's been a hectic couple of days. I've just recently started a new job, in a new location -- and I must say the prospect of having to learn an all new industry is both daunting and exciting.

But! Enough of that! Let's talk fashion. I put this look together for a comfortable and simple, yet completely classy day. I love love love Maxi's. You can never go wrong with one. And ladies, lets be honest.. they have to be the most comfortable piece of clothing to own. The skirt allows you the luxury of both comfort and style.

Chambray, leopard & lace

Wearing

Chambray Top: J. Crew | Lace Shorts: Electric Boutique | Leopard Sneakers: Steve Madden | Purse: Celine | Statement Chain: J. Crew | Midi Rings: Forever 21 | Optics: Ray Ban

So....

I can't get enough of chambray, lace, and leopard.

All 3 staple looks seem to be trending everywhere. So I put them together. I've had these lace shorts for many years, and loved the way they looked paired with the chambray. The leopard slip-on's paired with the black Celine gave my overall look a boyish edge, but still retained its feminine qualities.

Quite simply?
I love this look.

It's both comfortable, yet boyish chic.

Splurge VS Steal: Jeans

Splurge VS Steal: Jeans

So, don't get me wrong, J.Crew has to be one of my favorite brands... EVER.
But the boyfriend jean is just too much, when you can achieve the same {if not better} quality at a more affordable price with the Gap Boyfriend jean. And this season, the boyfriend jean is definitely in. Extremely versatile, comfortable, and chic, you can't go wrong with a pair!

Happy Independence Day America!

So I put this number together to enjoy the long 4th of July weekend.
I paired a light denim chambray shirt with a pair of white jean shorts, and threw a red blazer on top.

Red, White and Blue Madam!
At your service!

I love that this look is casual, but still tends to give a look of sophistication and class. As though a simple blazer and statement chain (when paired properly) can speak volumes as to your type of person.

Aviator Girl

Wearing

Blue Paisley Pant: Forever 21 | Aviator Shirt: Michael Kors | Purse: Vince Camuto | Sandals: Forever 21 | Statement Chain: J. Crew | Sunnies: Gap Inc. | Pearl Earrings: The Limited

I am in love with the brown/blue color tone pair. For some reason these two colors schemes when paired together seem to enhance my overall style.

{hence why we've been seeing a trend}

I paired this simple aviator tee over a pair of paisley printed trousers and was very pleased with myself, thank you! Added in my signature cognac tones with my accessories, and a little sparkle, and voila! Perfection.

Chic, bold, and yet with a touch of classy elegance. This look is perfect for Sunday brunch on the beach, or maybe an afternoon trip to the mall with lunch. the bold neutrals of black mixed with leopard, and the added chic of the glasses and bag makes the look to be overall perfect.
