Good Morning everyone!

There is a large sense of lethargy in my world. The simple task of taking a trail of thought, and the energy which one must consume in order to document such thoughts -- bring about an utter and total sense of loathing. Why not simply think it and be done with it?

The beauty of the mind recorder is that it enables the thinker to return to these thoughts and be able to expand on them. To journey further into the mind where these wisps of ideas first originated from. The same thinker who was once too lethargic to give a literary symbols to these thoughts, is inhibiting his ability to expand on them at a later time. This is partly why the art of philosophy seems to be slowly dying out.

My mind wanders to these moments at the most inconvenient times. The fleeting moments before sleep. The slow car rides on each monotonous morning. The small moments of silence nestled in my tiny corner of Corporate America. But how do you begin to make sense of a mind that is in constant and utter disarray. How does one reconcile their thoughts in this kind of life. One in which small moments are only available for brief moments during the hours of sunlight.

But to overcome the lethargic impulses at night is to recover the scattered pieces of the days forays into the mind. It is to overcome the boundary between you and everlasting thoughts. If one was to simply take the time to record these thoughts upon arrival, they would not be left to scatter with the remnants of sleep.

They would enable the thinker to create something that would live forever.

Top 5 Recap {March}

March was a tumultuous month. Not really spring weather, but not yet having left the cold days of winter behind.

Living in Miami it has always been easier to dress for the hot summer months, than to layer on the warmth of the winter. This year's winter was practically non-existent as we had about 1 or 2 days of actual cold. For that reason a good majority of March was spent in the sheers and lace of the season's favorites. Bright, bold colors mixed with the soft pastels of spring.

I look forward to what April has to bring.

Until next time friends <3

Ever have those days where you just feel so ordinary?

As though you're just another one of thousands?

That's how I've been feeling lately. As though I'm just another faceless drone out there in the masses. Struggling to make a name for herself.

I've heard {numerous times} from various professors, that writer's have one simple purpose when putting words to paper -- and it's to know that we're not alone in what we think or feel. The simple process of translating a mental message, to a physical one gives us the opportunity to share our thoughts, in hopes that we can connect with others who might share our opinions or beliefs. We can track these thoughts over centuries -- starting from the moment in which written language began. In the end, writers have one simple purpose -- we want to know we're not alone.

We want to hear from others in order to seek the comfort of those who share our beliefs.

My entire life I've been seeking solace in others. I've been wondering if I am the only one who thinks, acts, or speaks the way I do. I've become so quintessentially myself, I find difficulty connecting with those closest to me. I'm not sure they understand the half of what I think, do or say.

In the end it's always the same question:

{ Am I alone? }

Are there others out there who feel the same love and passion as I do? Do they act out on their passions the way I do? And more importantly, how do they make connections with the world around them? How do they maintain these connections? These small pieces of themselves they cannot recover -- as they are now a part of something bigger. Some larger scheme; grander than the mundane ordinary existence.

Writer's have the tendency to express themselves in a way which can transcend the space/time continuum. They can write not only for current generations and events, but for those of past or future moments as well. They can connect with readers across all generations, cultures, and beliefs. They're words will outlive their time.

Beautiful Disaster

Wearing

Striped Pants: Gap Inc. | Grey Sweater Shirt: The Limited | Statement Chain & Bracelet: J. Crew | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring Stack: Henri Bendel | Purse: Marc Jacobs | Blush Pumps: Steve Madden

Have you ever felt like such a mess, you're not quite sure what to do with yourself or where to go from there? You just get lost in the chaos that seems to be enveloping every aspect of your life. But in the end only beauty can be found from your disaster?

I have felt like this multiple times in my life. Times in which only the dark unknown chaos was familiar to me. I learned to navigate these uncharted waters, until I found the shores of home. Not an easy task considering how perilous the unknown can be, and it is {damn right} scary. You get lost in what you fear and seem to lose a sense of who you are and what you had hoped to be.

And yet..

When you escape this darkness, it's as though a new you has been forged from the unknown chaos. You come home from these turbulent times someone different and new. Someone who knows what it is like to live through the darkness as well as the light. You know the feeling of being lost in the sea of you mind. You know what it's like to feel loss and suffering of your own internal self. You know what it's like to lose a piece of you, and come out a harder individual on the other side.

But the end result is always something beautiful.

You can handle more than what you thought you normally could.
You are stronger than you were before.
You are more resilient.

You learn that within the chaos that is your mind, there is a sense of learning and structure. And this newly forged you would not be possible without the trials and avails of the darkest corners of your mind.

Eastern Religion teaches the power reincarnation, and that it is the soul's purpose in life to achieve self actualization. What if the key to your self actualization lies in discovering the darkest corners of your mind, and conquering them. In order to do so, you would have to be willing to venture into the chaotic mess that is your internal self -- a let these pieces of you go. Only then would you be able to escape the karmic wheel.

Just some food for thought...

Until next time friends <3
