It honestly already feels like summer.

But then again, in Sunny South Florida, summer usually arrives in April. So I would say we're right on track. How do you dress according to season, when you live in an endless summer? It's as though Miami seems to have forgotten that Spring comes in between Winter and Summer. Nope. We went straight into Summer mode.

The temperatures are nearing the 90's and the weather can be described by one word: HOT

But Spring lives in the heart, and is manifested in the fashion of those of us who keep it alive. Spring lives in the florals and pastels that we wear for ourselves. That we project to those around them, asking them to embrace the season of flowers and rebirth.

Spring is a time to embrace the renewal of life. A time in which you can reflect on those aspects of yourself you wish to rebuild. remake. and remold. This is the time of "spring cleaning".

Out with the old and in with the new.

But Miami and has deemed to skip this period of rebirth and has catapulted into the blistering heat of summer. Where the only solace you can find is the happiness you feel from the warmth of the sun.

But sometimes we all need a little reminder.

{It's still Spring}

Stripes, yellow, and pearls! Oh My!

Wearing

Stripe Dress: The Limited | Statement Chain: J. Crew | Blush Pumps: Steve Madden | Purse: Michael Kors | Purse Scarf: Vintage Heirloom | Multi-Tone Watch: Michael Kors

There is a large sense of lethargy in my world. The simple task of taking a trail of thought, and the energy which one must consume in order to document such thoughts -- bring about an utter and total sense of loathing. Why not simply think it and be done with it?

The beauty of the mind recorder is that it enables the thinker to return to these thoughts and be able to expand on them. To journey further into the mind where these wisps of ideas first originated from. The same thinker who was once too lethargic to give a literary symbols to these thoughts, is inhibiting his ability to expand on them at a later time. This is partly why the art of philosophy seems to be slowly dying out.

My mind wanders to these moments at the most inconvenient times. The fleeting moments before sleep. The slow car rides on each monotonous morning. The small moments of silence nestled in my tiny corner of Corporate America. But how do you begin to make sense of a mind that is in constant and utter disarray. How does one reconcile their thoughts in this kind of life. One in which small moments are only available for brief moments during the hours of sunlight.

But to overcome the lethargic impulses at night is to recover the scattered pieces of the days forays into the mind. It is to overcome the boundary between you and everlasting thoughts. If one was to simply take the time to record these thoughts upon arrival, they would not be left to scatter with the remnants of sleep.

They would enable the thinker to create something that would live forever.

Today's post is a short one.

Just a quick hello in the ever revolving door that has become my life. It's crazy how one moment you feel like you've been wasting your time and efforts on the mundane happenings of every day life. Then, one day something spectacular happens that brings your passions into focus.

That's what this blog has done for me.

It's united my love for writing and fashion into one endeavor.

And I promise to cherish each of these moments with you.

Top 5 Recap {March}

March was a tumultuous month. Not really spring weather, but not yet having left the cold days of winter behind.

Living in Miami it has always been easier to dress for the hot summer months, than to layer on the warmth of the winter. This year's winter was practically non-existent as we had about 1 or 2 days of actual cold. For that reason a good majority of March was spent in the sheers and lace of the season's favorites. Bright, bold colors mixed with the soft pastels of spring.

I look forward to what April has to bring.

Until next time friends <3

Spring in the Garden

Wearing

Red Maxi Skirt: Forever21 | Floral Sheer Blouse: Forever 21 | Sandals: Coach | Black Studded Cuff: Hermes | Handbag: Chanel | Ring Stack: Henri Bendel | Sunnies: Miu Miu

Spring has Sprung.

At least that's what we're hearing.

The weather has slowly been morphing into the hot Miami Sun which us Southern Floridians commonly associate with the year long summer weather. It's open season on the beach, the sun feels fine and the weather is warm quickly escalating into the HOT.

As such, we seem to have fast forwarded through Spring and gone full speed ahead into the summer. A time for shedding our winter layers and bringing out the sheer collection of blouses and beach gear.

My outfit inspo stems from the feel of casual comfort. The maxi seems to give me added luxury of both comfort and chic. Paired with a yellow floral and bold cuff -- perfect for a night out of trivia and beer.

Until next time friends <3
