Safari Glam

Wearing

Oxford Button Down: Old Navy | Olive Skinnie Mini: Gap Inc.  | Statement Chain: J. Crew | Leopard Ring & Gold Watch: Michael Kors | Cognac Pumps: Steve Madden | Belt: Forever 21 | Optics: Tommy Hilfiger

It's been a while. And I must say, there have been some developments.

but

My {almost} week long sabbatical is now over, and it's back to business. I've learned a lot over the course of the last week. Some interesting things have come to light, and it's clear now -- you have to let them be. Life will always throw you some unexpected obstacles, how you handle them and how you choose to approach these challenges, will define the type of person you choose to be.

Karma is powerful. And will always find a way to repay your cruelties in kind. Be aware of your actions and choice of words -- when you least expect it, they will come back to haunt you. What will you do then? How will you fight what you so rightly deserve?

{Life is cruel and viscous}

But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. There is always a way of choosing to be better than the circumstances surrounding you. You have to choose to rise above, and be better than you were before. You have to opt for improvement, and relish in the challenge of bettering yourself. If only for yourself -- for there is no other who will fight this crusade for you.

You must choose to be better.

And I do.

I choose to rise above.

Until next time friends <3

Social Friday at The Lagoon

Wearing

Red Maxi Skirt: Forever 21 | White Crew Neck Tee: Gap Inc. | Sandals: Nine West | Flower Statement Chain: J. Crew | Ring Stack: Henri Bendel | Gold Watch: Michael Kors | Sunnies: Gap Inc.

I love Maxi skirts.

{odd}

Considering my stature is meager 5' 1"

However, the simply flow of the delicate fabricate just seams to appease my senses in a way that words cannot describe. Paired with a simply white tee and sandals -- perfect for Casual Fridays in Corporate America.

Comfortable, chic, and casual.

The deep red of this particular skirt, paired with the bright blue of my chain seems to give off a look of casual chic that makes me scream in pleasure.

How the fashion gods have shone down on this bright South Florida day.

70's Vibin'

Wearing

Skinnie Mini: Gap Inc. | Geometrical Shirt: The Limited | Black Pumps: Steve Madden | Peace Sign Belt: Vintage | Black Leather Watch: Michael Kors | Ring Stack: Henri Bendel

This look's inspo?

{Vintage Vibes}

I seem to be obsessed with my Skinnie Mini's. They just seem to pair well with a wide variety of items and looks. Plus side? They are ridiculously comfortable. Matched up against the blue and yellow geometric patterns, and peace sign belt -- what more could you want for a retro look?

It's bold.
It's eccentric.
And it's exactly the kind of thing I would wear.

Until next time friends <3

Cognac & Dots

Wearing

Polka Dress: The Limited | Belt: Forever 21 | Cognac Pumps: Steve Madden | Oversized Runway Watch & Leopard Ring: Michael Kors | Flower Cuff Bracelet: J. Crew | Cross Chain: Vintage Family Heirloom

{Flirty and Fun}

That's how I think of this outfit. I love the mix of navy blue with the brown cognac -- it gives off the kind of casual, yet classy look that every girl strives for. It's easy, fun, and effortless. Paired with simple jewelry and a casual pony -- the overall effect was the one I had been hoping for.

{Casual yet Chic}

I've been turning into one those religious gym goers (if you truly know me, you know how truly lazy I am). However, after seeing the effect my weekly workout sessions have been having, not just on my body, but in my life in general. I'm sold.

I feel better, I eat better, and I accomplish much more than I ever thought would be possible. Best of all -- my legs look pretty great in a dress <333

As always, we seem to be experiencing extreme heat this year in South Florida. The sun is brighter and hotter than ever, and as such -- a light dress in the middle of February is totally permissible.

I've never given much thought to the saying "I live where you vacation"
However, I can see its validity now. Temperature down here are either, hot - hot - or warm. There is no winter in South Florida, just beach season year round.

{Not that I'm complaining}

Hope you enjoyed the look!

Until next time friends <3

By the By: My photographer (Diana) gave me 5 inches of space to work these photos on. Considering the circumstance, I think both they {and she} are pretty fabulous.
